Eat Lots of Fruits and Vegetables

Filling your diet with fruits and vegetables helps strengthen your immune system. This makes it easier for your body to get rid of cancerous cells. Try to get five or six servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Or get home delivered paleo meals.

Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise has been shown to boost the immune system. You should try to exercise at least 30 minutes per day, five days out of the week.

Limit Alcohol Intake

Excessive alcohol intake can increase the risk of oral cancer. Alcohol can also suppress the immune system. If you consume alcohol, then you will need to limit your consumption to two drinks per day.

Use Sunscreen

You are probably well aware of the fact that excessive sun exposure can increase the risk of cancer. Sun exposure can also increase the risk of lip cancer. That is why you should put sunscreen on your lips before you go outside. You can also put on a lip balm that has a SPF of 30 or more.

Do not use Tobacco Products

Tobacco use greatly increases the risk of oral cancer. Even if you are a casual smoker, you are still putting your health at risk. It is best to avoid tobacco use completely.

See Your Dentist Regularly

Dentists have been trained to check for oral cancer. They can look for suspicious sores and do an oral cancer screening. If they find something suspicious, then they can send you to another health care provider. You should also do a self-exam at least once a month.
